In advance of the proposed Global Summit on (Re-) Emerging Zoonotic & Veterinary Disease in 2022, the Organizing Committee is hosting a series of global regional workshops to inform upon the agenda and assure that regionally cross cutting topics and opportunities for synergies are addressed. Taking a One Health Security perspective, this workshop will focus on identifying challenges and opportunities related to (re-) emerging zoonotic & veterinary disease preparedness & response capacities in Africa, with a particular focus on identifying gaps and priority requirements.
This workshop builds on the global convening of experts from across 13 time zones on February 25th 2021. The workshop will convene leading experts from academia, industry, government, and international organizations from across all regions of Africa, as well as international subject matter experts.
