A new Ebola outbreak occurred in N’Zerekore, in southern Guinea where at least three people have died and four others have been infected. After a crisis meeting held on last Sunday, the Guinea Govt has officially declared it as an Ebola epidemic. The neighboring state has been put on high alert and World Health Organization is ensuring early access to vaccines.

Notably, The past Ebola outbreak occurred between 2014 to 2016, started from Guinea and claimed more than 11,300 life. The virus develops symptoms like fever, headache, muscle pain, chills and internal bleeding in severe cases.

Ebola is a zoonotic virus that spreads between humans via direct contact with bodily fluids.
